With the holidays around the corner, we want to share our 6 favourite places to buy your holiday treats in our lovely neighbourhood of South Etobicoke.


1. Choux Lab

Known for being home to Toronto’s bakery for soft, and flaky choux pastries with a variety of fillings, you will not find this gem anywhere else. From over 30 different cream puff flavours, this incredible spot also offers butter tarts, cheesecakes, macaroons, chocolate chip cookies and more. Everything is baked fresh daily by the amazing Hana who is the owner of Choux Lab. Choux Lab is located at 386 Royal York Road.

2. My Cake Tree

From the Food Network competition, “The Big Bake,” to her local business creating custom cakes and baking delicious goods, Ashanti Martyr shares her passion, creativity, and continues to serve the community for 9+ years. 3. SanRemo Bakery

Did someone say Panettone? This family-run business has been serving the GTA for over 50 years. SanRemo has been in the business since 1969 continuing to create the “Italian Dream Made of Carbs”. Every year, they always come out with a special holiday menu of cakes, cookies, donuts, pastries, drinks and more! 4. Le Gourmand

Thick, warm and gooey cookies stuffed with big melty chocolate chips – enough said, we are hungry too. Known for being the home for world-famous cookies, this bakery opened in 2020 serving handmade baked goods, and coffee. Serving holiday treats like their French Galettes des Rois, gluten-free Christmas cakes – Chocolate Raspberry, Tiramisu, Pistachio and flourless chocolate varieties. 5. Lale Bakery

Owned by a master chocolatier – Lale – with over 30 years of experience, this pastry shop serves authentic Eastern European custom cakes, decadent pastries and delicious freshly brewed coffee. A local favourite located at 3665 Lake Shore Blvd W. With little social media presence, there’s only one way to experience the warmth and cosiness the locals are talking about Lale bakery and that’s to go there physically.

6. The Happy Bakers

Nothing feels better than homestyle baking, happy bakers and a happy tummy. This bakery offers a variety of sweet & savoury treats including their famous scones. Located at 3469 Lake Shore Blvd W. You can also find them in local farmer markets like the Montgomery Inn, Lakeview, and Humber Bay Shores.
